I chose the name Gabriel because I hoped he would be my guardian Angel. He’s certainly lived up to that. He was originally for Complex PTSD, anxiety, and depression. Before I got him, I physically could not leave my house. I ended up in the ER countless times. Since he came into my life May 5, 2018, I haven’t been in ER once. He’s seen me through many things, including a diagnosis of Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, and started naturally alerting to my high heart rates. He sadly has developed the beginning stages of arthritis in his hips and will be retiring once my new dog is fully trained. I want him to get this award because he truly saves my life every day. He is my rock, guardian Angel, best friend, and definitely my hero.
